Swimming lake Vestre Søbad im Lake District

Vestre Søbad near Almindsø in Silkeborg is known as one of Denmark's cleanest lakes. The two impressive round bathing bridges next to each other offer both a children's pool and facilities such as changing rooms, benches, toilets, and a sauna.

Vestre Søbad is located by a lovely sandy beach, and the innermost round bridge is only one meter deep, where children can play and frolic. The outer bridge, on the other hand, provides good opportunities for slightly larger and more confident swimmers to enjoy a swim in the clear water, which is about 4.5 meters deep.

Not far from Vestre Søbad is Østre Søbad, which also has two beautiful bathing bridges and facilities like those at Vestre Søbad.

Vestre Søbad is located by Almindsø and is part of the entire Gudenå system in the beautiful Lake District Søhøjlandet. Almindsø is one of Denmark's deepest and cleanest lakes, with a depth of about 20 meters at its deepest point.

In the spring, the water is very clean and clear and is therefore incredibly popular with both young and old. The lake is unique and a fantastic bathing spot both in summer and winter.

It is also possible to enjoy an ice cream, which can be bought at the nearby kiosk.

The disabled toilet is open all year round.
