Take the family on a bike tour - 16 km around Hundested

This tour is perfect for families with young children, offering many stopping points including Spodsbjerg Lighthouse, Knud Rasmussen's House, Kikhavn, Tothaven, the beach at Sølager, Lynæs Harbour, and Hundested Sand Sculpture Park.

Here, experiences await you, and the maritime atmosphere is felt immediately—restaurants, cafés, and an active artisan community frame the tour.

From Hundested Station, follow Skansevej and the marked bike and hiking route "Nordkyststien" to Spodsbjerg Lighthouse and Knud Rasmussen's House. The route continues along the coast with a beautiful view until you reach the old fishing village of Kikhavn. If you have swimwear with you, this is a great place for a dip.

  • If you start the tour at Vibehus Station:
Continue towards Lynæs on Frederiksværksvej and begin the tour at Lynæs Havnevej. Alternatively, take the train to Hundested Station—just one stop.

  • If you start the tour at Dyssekilde Station:
Head towards Tømmerup on Torupvejen (about 2 km) and begin the tour at the intersection of Torupvejen and Torpmaglevejen. Alternatively, take the train towards Hundested to Østerbjerg Station—just one stop.

After exploring Kikhavn and enjoying the many thatched houses, the tour heads inland to the visitor farm Tothaven. Here, you can enjoy their homemade ice cream from goat's milk and take fresh goat cheese home. Children can pet goats, chickens, ducks, ponies, rabbits, and pigs.

The tour continues across the Halsnæs peninsula to Sølager on the southern coast of Halsnæs, part of the Royal North Zealand National Park.

At Lynæs Harbor and the beach in Lynæs, there are activities year-round, such as winter bathing, kayak courses, and wind- and kitesurfing. When hunger strikes, there are great dining options like Lynæs Madbar, where you can take a longer break.

From Lynæs to Hundested, you cycle along Søndergade past Lynæs Church and Hundested Library. Take your time at the harbor in Hundested, where there are many activities for children and adults. At the "pet-a-fish" platform, children can touch a fish or a crab, see the Hundested Sand Sculpture Park, or watch the ferries to Rørvig.
